The Oh So Lovingly Story

The Oh So Lovingly Story

When my husband and I married, I could hardly wait to begin making a home of our own. I had always dreamed of rooms layered with the romance of another era—painted chinoiserie panels, beautiful old fabrics, and objects gathered over time. I wanted my home to feel other-worldly, elevated, yet gentle and whimsical enough to feel like mine.

There was just one problem. The chinoiserie I loved was far beyond our budget—and, more often than not, all looked remarkably similar.

So I decided to teach myself.

With curiosity, two brushes in-hand, and a little audacity, I began studying the ancient art of chinoiserie on my nights and weekends. I learned to hold two brushes at once, paint delicate branches and intricate birds, and—after ruining more than a few paintings—not to drop either brush onto the page.

Those late nights eventually became my first painted panels. Then came wallpaper, textiles, and an ever-growing collection of chinoiserie-inspired works.

Today, I create timeless artwork for elegant homes, inspired by the romance of antique interiors and the artistry of traditional chinoiserie. I want each piece to feel as though it has been discovered rather than purchased—as though it might have belonged to your grandmother, or a very stylish great-aunt you never had.

Because I believe the most beautiful homes are lovingly collected, and that the things we live with should make ordinary days feel a little more extraordinary.

I hope to help you create a home that feels wonderfully removed from the ordinary.
