Chinoiserie Tree En Fleur Print (Blue)

If you love bringing the outside in, the chinoiserie en fleur (in bloom) does just that. This collection was inspired by the old world chinoiserie murals, my inspiration was a WWII artist named Rex Whistler - his murals are still in London - he died too soon fighting in the war, but his talent lives on, inspiring subsequent generations. He created worlds within his paintings, often adding elements from mythical legend -whether it’s an Italian oceanside town showing King Triton's spear & conch shell lying to the side, as if he had just left them leaning next to the column railing - or hot air balloons in old war paintings. My inspiration for many of my pieces comes from Rex. 

This is a print of the original gouache painting with a darling peony tree adorned with butterflies done on watercolor paper at 14.5 x 11 inches.
